Residential & Commercial Lawn Irrigation

NEW INSTALLATIONS

A properly installed lawn sprinkler system can be a great time saving asset for your home. With over two thousand quality installations in Fayette County and the surrounding area since 1986, you can be sure your installation will be done properly and professionally.

From the initial estimate to the final walk through, our goal is to provide you with a system that will enhance your property, at a good value. Client satisfaction is very important to us, and much of our new work is by referral from our customers.

EXPERIENCE

Either Scott Schumacher, the owner, or Sean McCormick, the sales manager, will be your initial contact. They will custom design your system and are in charge of all system layout and pricing. After bid acceptance, they will meet with our installation foreman to discuss, design, and schedule your job. When it is time for your installation, they will meet again with you to review all aspects of the job. Many of our installation crew members have been employed with us for several years. With this level of experience, you can be assured of a quality, professional installation.

CREDIBILITY

Bluegrass Irrigation is a member of the Better Business Bureau, as well as the Building Industry Association of Central Kentucky. We are also a certified irrigation contractor through the National Irrigation Association, and a Rainbird Select Contractor. Several Bluegrass Irrigation employees are certified to test and service backflow prevention devices, and are also licensed plumbers. In addition, we carry a $1,000,000.00 liability insurance policy as well as workers’ compensation insurance (proof of insurance is available upon request). Finally, we have installed over 2000 systems in the area and continue to grow — largely based on referrals from satisfied customers (such as homeowners, builders, landscapers and commercial property owners).

COMMITMENT

Scott Schumacher, Owner and President, completed a certification program that earned him EPA’s WaterSense Partner label, demonstrating his commitment to promoting knowledge of water efficient techniques and to water-efficient irrigation.

WARRANTY

We offer a 2-year parts and labor warranty on our installations.

Quality CONTROL

After the installation, each system is reviewed and inspected jointly by our installation and service managers. A walk-through with the client is also done at this time, to answer any questions or concerns. At this point, our service manager takes over responsibility for warranty and service of your new system.

QUALITY MATERIALS AND MODERN INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT

We use only parts produced by well-known national manufacturers. Also, you can be sure that these materials have been time-tested in the field from our previous installations. In addition, we use pipe-pulling equipment to install your system. This is “trenchless” installation and makes for a much quicker, better job with very little tear up — particularly in existing lawn situations. Our newest Rain Bird controllers now incorporate wireless capability using a downloadable smartphone app. We can also upgrade existing systems.

If you view your installation project as an investment, make the right choice and call Bluegrass Irrigation. We take your installation concerns seriously, and have done so since 1986. An improperly installed system can be a nightmare, and an endless source of frustration. Service after the installation is equally important — and frequently overlooked. Why not choose the largest and best installation contractor in the Central Kentucky area? We’ve built our reputation one installation at a time.

Bluegrass Irrigation currently has eight technicians certified to test and repair all types of backflow devices. We also manage a program to annually test these devices, and take care of the paperwork required by the local water company.

Our Staff

Shane Lyons, our service manager, has been with Bluegrass Irrigation since 1994. He's familiar with all aspects of the business, including installation. He is also a certified backflow preventer technician. Shane is customer-oriented, and understands the need for quick communication when a service call is initiated. We also employ five other full-time service technicians, all of whom have many years of service experience and are fully qualified to handle your service concerns. We make every attempt to have your system serviced by the same technician each time. This way, our technicians become familiar with your individual needs.

Communications

All of our service technicians can be reached by cellphones for quick field delivery of service calls. This also allows for fast, direct contact with clients to expedite service calls or questions. We try to return all routine service calls as soon as possible, usually within the same day. We also maintain a 24-hour emergency number for your peace of mind.
